i had a dog who did that once. she really liked the white dove soap. she would actually eat the whole bar!! that's when my dad changed our brand to the yellow dial bar. she stopped eating the bar of soap after that. try doing the same or just not allow your cat on the bathroom sink!!

If you are feeding your cat premium cat food they probably are not deficient in any nutrients (such as what happens with pica).

I would say they simply like the fats in soap. Cats love fats. Fatty milk, butter, fat off meat and chicken... I think it is b/c they lack the sensors to taste sugars. My cats love to lick butter and sour cream!

I would just put the soap somewhere else to prevent your kitty from getting an upset stomach.

honestly I'm not wild about the beach mural, especially if you don't have natural light from a window. if you do go with the beach mural, frame it as though you were gazing out of the window at the beach scene, with solid color walls. go with hard wood floors, like you would find in a beach cafe, or tiles like you would find at an outdoor patio. for the ceiling, you may think about a canvas/umbrella up top. my boyfriend and I stopped at a brewpub for breakfast on vacation, and the atmosphere was a perfect blend of comfort and sophistication. don't attempt to be too beachy, it will affect the resale of your home.

If the openings were installed when the house was built there should be a vent installed for them. If there isn't there are 2 possible reasons why. 1) bad job of roughing it in or 2) at the time they were installed they were considered vented because of their location from a main vented line. In either case, save yourself some grief and forget running the vent pipe and just install studor vents, air admittance valves, inline vents. (whatever you prefer to call them by) on the bathroom sink, the bar sink, and the utility sink.

They are approved, although not my favorite option, in some cases they are a decent alternative and will work for what you are trying to accomplish. When you put the sinks in, the riser that comes out of the concrete, put a tee on that riser. Out of the top of the tee put another riser as high as you can get it under the cabinet/sink and put the vent on top. They are about $20 apiece but well worth it. Basically what they do is allow air in the line when needed and seal up when it isn't.

I would also dig around a little more and make sure you don't have a vent hidden behind the insulation in the bond or the ceiling somewhere. If I install rough openings in a basement, I add a vent, always.
